available. Books on history of local area for sale. Can organise
tours, and provide guides, for groups.
Braidwood Community Radio began
broadcasting on Australia Day, 26th January 2003, and broadcasts
24 hours a day, 365 days a year on 94.5FM from Mt.Gillamatong.
The main music mix is 60's to 80's pop
and rock, with selected evening programs featuring blues, folk,
classical, and youth music. It is run by unpaid volunteers and is
a not-for-profit Registered Association.
In November each year, the historic
town of Braidwood becomes a mecca for quilters and tourists
alike as it hosts its Quilt Event and the famous ’Airing of the
Quilts’
Scouting is definitely fun, and it also prepares young people for
life in the adult world by teaching responsibility for their own
actions and progress.Scouts provide fun
and exciting programs that promote active learning.
