Braidwood Townstay and Workshop Art Space

Home in the heart of Braidwood.

Braidwood Townstay is comfortable self contained accommodation in the old Bank of NSW building in the centre of town.

The accommodation is spacious with 4 bedrooms (upstairs), 2 rooms with queen size plus a single bed and the other 2 rooms with 2 single beds each. Downstairs enjoy the comfortable living room with slow combustion fire place, generous dining room and cosy sunroom. The kitchen is well equipped and a laundry is available on request.

We are child and family friendly with a cot available to hire for a modest fee and child barriers for the stairs to protect adventurous toddlers.

Ideal for a couple, a family, several families or a group of friends. When you book Braidwood Townstay you have the whole house to yourselves for the duration of your stay.

Also available to hire on a daily basis is our Workshop Arts Space in the same building. Ideal for friendship groups and special interest groups. $50 / day.

Araluen Old Courthouse

Old Police Station B&B at Majors Creek

Situated in the little village of Major’s Creek, some 15km from Braidwood, ‘The Old Police Station’ offers a beautiful country retreat, in lovely country surrounds.

Built in the1860’s, the home has been restored by the McCarron Family, long time residents of Major’s Creek.  100 year old oak trees frame the house and give the park like garden great depth. Perfect for sitting under relaxing, and reading a book.

The B& B offers private entrance and parking, a superb Queen size room, with ensuite, upstairs, and sole use of the beautiful sun room downstairs which looks out to the north to the hills. For family groups there are two twin rooms, also available.

The Old Police Station is in the Village of Major’s Creek just a short stroll from the quaint Major’s Creek Hotel, and the beautiful St Andrews Church.
