Getting to Braidwood

Out & About

Braidwood, New South Wales, Australia, is located 300kms south-west of Sydney and halfway between Canberra (Australia's Capital City, in the Australian Capital Territory) and Batemans Bay (a good base from which to explore the un-spoilt beaches of the South Coast of NSW). Braidwood sits on the south-east edge of the Southern Tablelands less than an hour's drive from Goulburn.

Air- at present, no scheduled services.

Rail - The nearest railway stations are Tarago 45km and Bungendore 48km, both on the Canberra line. Goulburn is further at 82km but the Melbourne trains go through as well so there is more choice.

Coach - Murray's Coaches run daily services between Bateman's Bay and Canberra, once each way, through Braidwood. Enquire 132251.

Car - From Sydney follow the Hume Highway to Goulburn, then take State Route 79 direct to Braidwood.

From Canberra follow the King's Highway from Queanbeyan direct to Braidwood.
