Braidwood, New South
Wales, Australia, is located 300kms south-west of Sydney
and halfway between
Canberra (Australia's Capital City, in the
Australian Capital Territory) and Batemans Bay (a good base from
which to explore the un-spoilt beaches of the South Coast of NSW).
Braidwood sits on the south-east edge of the Southern Tablelands
less than an hour's drive from Goulburn.
Air- at present, no scheduled services.
Rail - The nearest railway stations are Tarago
45km and Bungendore 48km, both on the Canberra line. Goulburn is
further at 82km but the Melbourne trains go through as well so there
is more choice.
Coach - Murray's Coaches run daily services
between Bateman's Bay and Canberra, once each way, through
Braidwood. Enquire 132251.
Car - From Sydney follow the Hume Highway to
Goulburn, then take State Route 79 direct to Braidwood.
From Canberra follow the King's Highway from Queanbeyan direct to
Braidwood.
